If you want your website to be a success then you need to be constantly updating and improving it over time. However to do this properly you need to have some feedback about your visitors – who are they, where are they from, what pages did they look at?
The best way to get this sort of information about your website is to use analytics programs – and probably the best known is Google Analytics. You can sign up for Google Analytics for free and it’s fairly easy to add it to your website, usually by adding some code to your webpages. Once set up this will allow you to monitor all kinds of stats about your visitors.
What you’ll find is that Google Analytics has a lot of information for you. It can tell you where your visitors are from, how long they spent on your website, where they came from, what browser they used etc. This information is really valuable and you should take the time to look at it.
But in reality, we just don’t have the time to do this. And some of you will feel overwhelmed by all of the options and filters available. So what if there was a simpler way? Well there is – Quill Engage.
Quill Engage works by connecting to your Google Analytics account and then filtering all of the data in there to provide you with an easy to read report sent to your email every month. We use the free plan which is basically 1 report and it’s sent every week by email. However this basic report has enough information there to tell you if things are moving in the right direction or not.
The paid plans offer more reports and allow you to send these to more than one person. And because reports are emailed direct to you it’s a great way of seeing how you’re doing without having to login into Google Analytics. We find it to be a great time saver and reminder to check our website stats. Take a look and save yourself some time too with Quill Engage.
